Silvano has been enjoying his pension for a few years now. He used to own a few small businesses which he sold a few years earlier. But doing nothing the whole day just did not feel right for Silvano. Therefore, he started another business in 2010. This time, he started a small dairy farm. The small farm is situated in the middle of the dairy district of Colombia called Vereda Buenos Aires. Together with one employee he takes care of the cows. The cows are being milked on a daily basis.

Every day, the local dairy processor collects the milk from Silvano.  After 5 years in business, Silvano notices an increase in demand for dairy products. He will use the loan to buy extra dairy cows and to create better meadows, so the quality of the dairy he produces will increase. He will also hire one extra person to help him.

Lendahand and its local partner grant this loan to Silvano payable in 24 months, to be able to make this ambition reality.
