Jorge is the manager of Agrotrebol, an association of sugar cane farmers in Lajitas in the province of Cundinamarca. The association is dedicated to grow, produce and sell agricultural products, mainly sugarcane. Het most important product they are make from sugarcane is panela, a local delicacy. Agrotregbol specializes in making canela in in different forms and flavours.  They have developed a broad product assortment, and are selling the products in Lajitas and the villages in the direct vicinity in the province.

With the loan Agrotrebol would like to buy a new machine so they can add a new product to their assortment: panela powder. Furthermore, with the machine they can increase their production capacity. With the loan they will also create 4 extra jobs.

Together with the local partner in Colombia (VSC) Lendahand is granting this loan to Jorge, payable in 24 months, to help him make his and Agrotrebol’s ambitions become reality.
