In year 2000, Marites started her own buko pie making business and named it Marites n Arjay Buko Pie. Buko pies are distributed thru her vendors, to Los Baños and nearby towns. Marites employs out of school youth and senior citizens and they are provided with free meals and accommodation, aside from their compensation.
