The project

Veronica Adao is an entrepreneur who has several businesses like Hardware, General Merchandise, and Manufacturing. Since Paete, Laguna, where the business is located, is known for its craftsmen highly skilled in wood carving and embellishments, she started G.N.A. Arts & Crafts, engaged in manufacturing of wood, paper, and resins crafts. Some materials used for the products are recycled.

The business is on its 17^th year with 5 workers as regular employees. The business continues to flourish not only locally but in the US market as well. Her good relationship with her workers mostly family members and relatives made it possible to stay long in the business. Workers have been with the company for 15 years. Employment benefits are enjoyed by the workers such Social Security System (SSS).
During peak production, additional 5-10 workers are engaged on a subcontracting arrangement. Meals during overtime are provided for the workers.

Mrs Adao came to know NPFC through another client engaged in wood curving. She applied for a loan to purchase raw materials to meet her Purchase Orders.
