Michael has concentrated on the wholesale and retail of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG),that is, groceries and confectioneries known in Ghanaian settings as ‘Provisions’. The business is located at Zongo Junction in Accra. Michael has been in this business for 24 years. The Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) are products that are sold quickly and at relatively low cost. Such goods include non-durable goods made up of soft drinks, toiletries, bags of rice, sugar and grocery items which are normally known in our Ghanaian setting as ‘Provisions’.

Though the absolute profit made on FMCG products are relatively small, a cumulative sale on a large scale is quite substantial. These goods normally have a short shelf-life, due to the high consumer inelastic demand nature. Among some of customer’s renowned suppliers are key distributors of Unilever Ghana Limited, Cadbury Ghana Limited, Nestle Ghana Limited, Olam Ghana Limited and many more.

Lendahand will provide the loan to Michael together with local partner ABii National.The loan has to be repaid in 12 months.
