2ND LOAN
Ritazo Tingub Womens Worker Association is a women association from the barangay of Tingub at Mandaue City, Cebu, managed by Mirope Aballe, the Associations President. They are manufacturing bags and coin purse made-out of waste rags and textile. Workers are all women that comes from the group of homeless poor families who were relocated in Mandaue City. Ritazo Tingub Womens Worker Association is a livelihood program supported by different foundations, local government units (LGU), Justice Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC), and Department of Science and Technology (DOST), all based in Cebu which provided trainings and donated sewing machines. It is found to be productive since it began in 2004.
The Association has regular clients that purchases bulk order of their bags and coin purse distributed in Malls in Cebu City and nearby provinces. Consistently receives order for new or walk-in inquiries and clients and participates in fiestas and trade fairs, which increases their income.These 17 women presently employed, receives minimum wage. For those that does field selling, they receive commission from their sales.
To commit with the new order received from a university, the association needs a working capital loan to purchase raw materials needed. To be provided by NPFC and Lendahand.
