Summary
Linabu Agrarian Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LAMPCO) is represented by Ma. Virgenia Pejoro, General Manager, from Cagayan De Oro, that is duly registered under Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). It was registered as cooperative in June 24, 1997 with 340 members at present. In 2009, it expanded its service by engaging the business in coco sugar making, with the help of local government agencies like Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). In assurance of the product cleanliness and its good health effect, they were certified by the Food and Drug Administration as manufacturer of coco sugar and syrups.
The coop has employed 74 male part time workers and 28 female that are regular employed which makes the coco sugar, while receiving fair salary rate. Finished product are sold in local markets of Cagayan De Oro and Metro Manila, and at the same time, supplies it to exporting companies. LAMPCO shows positive growth because aside from being a cooperative and a food manufacturer, they started a small store for coop members.
Loan proceed will be used to buy raw materials to local farmers for the continuous production of coco sugar and meet clients demand. It will be provided by LendAHand and local partner NPFC. To be repaid for 12 months
