Tuon Sophea married Chhuon Phannara, and they have 2 sons. They live in Kien Svay District, Kandal Province. Sophea is a farmer and she runs a business of growing culantro for 8 years already. Sopheas husband, Phannara is a tri-cycle driver, and he is able to earn more income to support his family.
Sophea learns how to grow cilantro from her siblings. Sophea grows start up her business with 2 workers, and due to business grows she wish to hire 10 additional workers. Sophea grows culantro and supplies to Doeum Kor Market in Phnom Penh City.
In order to meet the rising demand of her clients, Sophea is in need of working capital to expand her farm for growing culantro, and she needs to expense on pesticide, oil, salary for workers, etc. Using loan from Maxima Microfinance Plc., Sophea will be able to increase the number of orders she could manage, and will result in 10 additional full time jobs.
