Summary

Sergio and his wife started ‘La Capella’ almost ten years ago. La capella means ‘the chapel’. It’s a manufacturer and store of basic products situated in Cundinamarca near Bogotá. It’s a butcher, a cheese store and tortilla manufacturer in one. Making home-made tortillas is one of the specialities of Sergio. He does not only produce the tortillas to sell them in his own store; he also sells them to a great variety of bakeries in the surroundings. Sergio and his wife run the production side and the store. They employ two young men who deliver the tortillas to the clients on their motorbikes. The company is situated on the ground floor of Sergio’s own house.

The loan will be used to procure larger quantities of flour from different suppliers, to be able to accept larger orders from current clients (bakeries).

Lendahand and its local partner grant this loan to Sergio, payable in 24 months, to be able to make this ambition reality.
