The project

Chhun Mengkeang married Pao Chinda in 2003 and they have 2 daughters. They live in Koh Okhna Tey Commune, Ksach Kandal District, Kandal Province. Mengkeang is a blacksmith, and he runs the business of producing iron and steel material for 2 years.

Mengkeang purchases material from Phnom Penh, and he learns the concept of business when he worked as a blacksmith for one handicraft shop in Phnom Penh. Mengkeang currently provides job for 2 workers.

In order to meet the rising demand of his clients, Mengkeang is in need of working capital to expand his business by purchasing equipment, and steel. Using loan from Maxima Microfinance Plc., Mengkeang will be able to increase the number of orders he could manage.
