The project
3e LOAN
Liliw, Laguna is a rural area and is considered as second shoe capital of the Philippines next to Marikina City. Many locals here are engaged either as a worker or owner of a shoe business. Elwin Conopio was raised in Liliw and was trained in shoe making until 1991 when he decided to have his own manufacturing area. In 2000, the business was officially registered as Christian Marco Footwear selling various types of ladies, kids, and men shoes. Elwins products are all handmade and has indigenious items as part of the raw materials. Strategically wise, he started to rent a stall to display his products, while this year, he entered online selling to attract and capture more buyers outside the municipality of Liliw.
From his first two loan with NPFC and LendAHand, Elwin was able to meet client orders and demands and has maintained his 10 workers that are receiving piece rate wage plus snacks.
Loan proceed will be used to purchase raw materials to manufacture more shoes to have more stocks.
