Summary

Ms. Clarabelle Soriano, or Ms. Joy as she is called often, is the owner of Graceland Arts and Crafts Corporation. She can be seen as a true survivor in the handicrafts business since 1976. With more than 30 years of experience, she proved that everyone could succeed if they don’t give up and continue to innovate. Her business used to be a sole proprietorship but has later been registered as a partnership with a new manager as co-owner.

Her company specializes in home decors like picture frames, wall decors, mirrors, plates, trays and Christmas inspired decors, wherein she utilizes native materials such as abaca (typical Philippian textile from banana leafs) and seashells. The finished products are being distributed to local and foreign clients. At present, Ms. Joy has 27 employees. She also has 3 subcontractors that work hand-on-hand with her, especially during peak order season.

She came to know about Lendahand’s local partner NPFC through an existing client and she has been granted additional funds to purchase raw materials for her bulk orders. The loan will be repaid in 6 months.
