The project

Mary Jane Javier is a college undergraduate with a major in Accountancy. Before entering ARA Pebbles Center, she started as a secretary at HiGear company. After a while and she became more familiar with the company owned by the family of her husband since 1985, she was employed by ARA Pebbles Center. For a few years now, she manages the company together with her spouse.

‘ARA Pebbles Center’ sells finished construction materials such as various walls, floors, decoration stones, and is the prime supplier for different construction services. They employ 8 men, all out of school youth, which they offered a fair chance for decent employment. Besides a weekly salary, all are offered complementary meals and free lodging. One employee, who struggled with his insurance, is even provided with the benefits of a social security system.

Her mother-in-law is the president of a local barangay, a small administrative division in the Philippines, for church matters. Although it’s a small division, they can be of great service. She was responsible for renovating a stairway in a local mall for example, in which the input materials were sourced by ARA Pebbles Center at procurement costs to put cost at a minimum.

The company’s aspires to grow and more therefore more users are desirable. Together with Local Partner NPFC will Lendahand support Mary Jane by granting a loan to grow her customer base and thus expand her business. The loan will be repaid in 12 months.
