The project
Niña Stephnie Caballes owns “Caballes Dried Fish Supply and Pasalubong” based in Tabo-an Market, Cebu City. The business is engaged in retailing different pasalubong items of Filipino made delicacies and dried fish bought from local and international fishermen and dried fish maker; And, also distributing those to other sellers from other markets.
Niña learned her managing and selling skills from her parents who originally own the business. She inherited their store in 2013 and transferred its ownership under her name.
As of now, Niña employs five female and one male worker, four are regular and the other two are part-timers. Food and lodging are provided for free, aside from regular compensation they received on a monthly basis.
NPFC and LAH will be providing a working capital loan to Niña Stephnie Caballes to purchase a large volume of Dried Fish for the preparation for the upcoming ‘Sinulog Festival 2017’.
