The project
Nellie Sarol is married to Eduardo. In 1985, right after their marriage, the spouses started a meat shop business and name it “N. Sarol Meat Shop and Frozen Product”. Today, in Dagupan Public Market, Tabuk City, Kalinga, they are presently maintaining two stalls; one for dressed meat (chicken, pork, and beef), and the other is for frozen goods.
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) has extended their assistance to Nellie through seminars, trainings, and machineries needed for product innovation by making a frozen food processing. They are processing different variants of Tabuk Longganisa; spicy, garlic, and skinless, thus promotes local product of Kalinga.
Meals and weekly salary are given to their 15 workers who are all natives of Tabuk.
Working capital will be provided by NPFC and LAH to purchase 3,000 kgs. Of mechanical dressed meat plus spices and packaging for their product.
