      The project

“Didi’s Meat Shop” is solely owned by Candida Freo from Valenzuela City. The business is operating in Dapitan Market, Quezon City, engaged in meat processing and dealership. Such processed meats are pork tocino (sweetened cured pork) and longganisa (Filipino pork sausage) and Candida has been doing this business since 1995. Aside from selling her processed meats in the shop in the market, she has been delivering to school canteens and nearby restaurants in Quezon City.

She is assisted by her five, all male workers in the daily operations. Giving them free meal, aside from compensation. Candida is a graduate of B.S Economics, married, and a mother of five. She is a sole-proprietor for 20 years now. Handling a business is not that easy, that she trains and exposes her children in her shop, that serves as a good training ground for them. Beside from the meat shop that she maintains, she also has a small eatery located nearby her home as her other source of income.

Lendahand and its local partner NPFC, will grant a working capital loan to Candida, to purchase an additional food processor and storage for the upcoming Christmas season for more additional bulk orders.
