The project
Anataly Gelito is a native of Aklan province, married, and a mother of three children. She is a tricycle operator for ten years now which started in 2005. The tricycle she owned is gasoline powered but it will be changed into an electrical tricycle or e-trike. It has been required by the local government of Malay, Aklan in partnership with its authorized manufacturer, that aims to lessen the air and noise pollution whtin the place, while maintaining the beautiful island of Boracay. Anatalys e-trike will be purchased to Gerweiss, an e-trike assembler, which assures her to have a bigger income because of the bigger capacity it can accommodate as well as, attract local and foreign tourists due to its eco-friendly design.
With this, Anataly together with her one drop-out driver, both of them can increase their daily income. At present, she is an active member of the Boracay Land Transportation Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BLTMPC). She also has other business like sari-sari store.
Lendahand, together with its local partner NPFC, will provide the loan to Anataly for her to purchase her newest tricycle e-trike.
