The project

Nilda Calulot obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Midwifery in 2014. Before starting her own business, Nilda used to work overseas in the Middle East and in Hongkong for a few years. Upon returning to the Philippines in 2004, she established her own company called “Maternity and Lying-in Clinic”. It offers all necessary services that a pregnant women might need, such as pre and post natal check-up among other things. 

The team consists of five other midwives and a nurse. Their salary is given on a monthly basis including mandatory benefits. Nilda applied for a loan in order to purchase materials needed for maternity services. 

Together with local partner NPFC Lendahand will provide a loan that has to be repaid in 18 months.
