      The project

“Panasahan Bagna Electric Trike Operators and Drivers Association (PBETODA) Inc.” was founded in 2015 by Antonio Mendoza, a retired pilot. His aim was to help tricycle operators to have electrical tricycles ('E-trike’).

PBETODA currently has 30 members of which 10 recently switched manufacturers to Mytron, an electrical / solar tricycle manufacturer from Bulacan. Aside from the regular taxi services, some also bring children to school which helps them to earn more money and make savings. E- Trikes are not just electrical powered but also have a solar panel on top to sustain battery life. PBETODA and Mytron aim to increase income and efficiency, carry more passengers and save the environment from too much pollution.

In order to produce the 10 E-trikes for the members that switched, PBETODA applied for a loan. Together with local partner NPFC will Lendahand provide a loan that has to be repaid in 24 months.
