      Koeut Channy married Veng Savuth, and they have 2 sons and 4 daughters. They live in Chherteal Commune, Kien Svay District, Kandal Province. Channy and Savuth are farmers and they run business growing basil and banana for four years since 2012.

      Channy learns how to grow basil and banana from her parents and her neighbor. Channy started her business with 2 employees (her and her husband), and due to growth in business she now employs 5 workers. Channy grow basil and banana and supply to Neak Meas Market in Phnom Penh City. Besides growing basil and banana, Channy is keen to sell basil, and other vegetable at Korkey Market in Kien Svay District.

      In order to meet the rising demand of her clients, Channy is in need of working capital to expand her farm for growing basil, and banana. She needs to expense on pesticide, oil, salary for workers, etc. Using loan from Maxima Microfinance Plc., Channy will be able to increase the number of orders she could manage, and will result in 1 additional full time job.
