The project
Geronimo is into bottle recycling that are bought in to the junk shops nearby and sold to companies that makes soy sauce, fish sauce, and the alike. It started in 2001 with 20 employees. In 2006, the company has expanded in Camarines Sur managed by his wife.
A total of 60 workers are employed that came from the provinces of Bicol and Mindanao, 40 of which are regular, the rest are on-call. Wage is piece rate / per bottle rate, with benefits like housing, medical assistance, birthday bonus, extended to workers family members.
He will purchase new set of bottles and materials used for the delivery of this to his customers. He will be assisted by NPFC and Lendahand. Must be repaid in 18 months.
