The project
“Hannah’s Handicraft” was founded by Cristina Anggana of Cebu in 2006. The business is officially registered under Department Trade and Industry (DTI) and is operating as a manufacturing of seashell handicraft for decoration of bags and accessories made from local natural fibers.
Cristina used to be an employee for a handicraft manufacturer and was convinced by her sister, a fashion accessories designer to start her own business. With the help of her sister, she was able to tap the international market by exporting in United Kingdom and Malaysia. While, Boracay and Bohol for her local market.
Her succeeding loans from NPFC helped her to boost production and therefore meet clients demand from regular purchase order loan. At present, she has 5 regular workers and 40 subcontractors.
Mrs. Cristina’s creative mind and design gives her a chance to open a new market in U.S.A and Hongkong in 2016 and a possible bulk order is expected to come.
As of today, she needs an additional working capital loan to purchase materials needed for production. Mrs. Anggana will be assisted both by LendAHand and local partner NPFC.
