The project
Michelle Pinated is a graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism. In relation to her course she established “Balik-Tribo Fashion Accessories” promoting tribal clothes and accessories weaved and sewed by the local traditional residents and tribal people of Tabuk City, Kalinga.
The enterprise began in year 2011 selling accessories only. But in 2013, Michelle started to hire local weavers and sewers giving them employment to earn for a living. All seven employees are tribal people provided with a cash basis salary.
A working Capital loan will be used for the production of additional inventory of the company.
Local partner NPFC provides a loan to Michelle that must be repaid within 12 months.
