      Summary

In 1981, Marcelito Elpa started to manage his business. At first, Marcelito used to be an employee of a law office, but when he decided to leave the company, his godbrother gave him its footwear business, and named it Elmon Footwear. For over 34 years, his spouse and son helps him in sales and operation. Before, they used to supply their products in some mall, but due to competition they decided to focus in their store at Liliw Laguna and maintaining its production and sales. The family business employs six male and four female workers given with free accommodation aside from the weekly salary they receive. For the long run, he still dreams of having his footwear an expansion together with his furniture business. Together with Lendahand’s partner NPFC is helping Marcelito Elpa in acquiring additional working capital for purchasing of additional raw materials to boost the production.
