      The project

Like many rural households, families have been impacted by the water crisis in India. Like most households around them, they rely on water from the public tap in the village. Situated a long walk away from their home, the tap runs only a few hours each day. Often, after spending the morning in a queue, Jeyanthi and her friends are unable to get sufficient water for the needs of their families. With insufficient water to drink and practice hygiene, they run the risk of frequent illnesses.

Through Milaap’s partner, GUARDIAN, their families now have the option to install a water connection in each of their homes. So Jeyanthi and her group seeks a loan to bring water in their homes, by having a water connection installed.

Your loan will help 338 families save their time spent on fetching water, help them be healthy and more productive, and empower them to realize their goals of uplifting themselves.
