In 2010, Battulga has begun his entrepreneurship by planting fruit trees in Uvs province of Mongolia. Later in 2015, he has expanded the planting capacity and added new sorts of trees including seabuckthorn, billberry, cranberry and blackberry. He also produces condensed juices and fruit jams, and sells them at the local markets. Currently, there are 4 employees working at his plant area.
In 2018, Battulga broadened his business by building a greenhouse farm in Tuv aimag province, near Ulaanbaatar city. He plants fine vegetables such as cucumber, basil, lettuce etc. and sells it at the public markets of the city. During the past year, the local demand of organic fruits and vegetables was siginificantly high. Thus, Battulga plans to build an additional summer greenhouse and to expand the outside planting area in order to meet the local demand of organic and healthy foods.
With a loan amount of MNT 49.9 million, he will be able to build a summer greenhouse and install a drip irrigation system at the plant area. With this loan, he will hire 6 more employees to help his business.
