      Le projet

Jesus Antonio Acapulco is a native of Cagayan De Oro City. He is a professional licensed Veterinarian that established “Jerasenes Agri-Livestock” in year 2004. The farm is engaged into raising pigs, cows, and goats. Since the pigs were established, Jesus began a new project which is the Goat raising. He started with one pen and seven goats (1 male and 6 female) where a female goat or doe gives birth twice a year. With the fast goat reproduction, Jesus and his family being involved in the business, decided to use the milk of the milking doe for processing. And his wife Antoniette, underwent formal training for the milk and milk cheese making. As of today, they are processing pasteurized goat’s milk and a flavored goat’s milk in six different flavors.

As distinct from other farm animals milk, a goat’s milk has more nutritional value and benefits and because of this the market demand is increasing that results for more milk production for Mr. Jesus and his family. They are now seeking assistance from Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to develop goat’s milk into powdered milk to prolong its lifespan.

Jesus’ farm has an overall of 26 key personnel, five of which are assigned in the goat’s milk processing, packaging, and machine operating. Workers’ family are provided with a shelter and children are able to go to school thru a scholarship program of Mr. Jesus and his family.

Animal’s waste are recycled and converted into biogas and fertilizers.

An additional working capital loan will be used for the goat’s milk production. He will be assisted by LendAHand and local partner, NPFC.
