Le projet

Octagon was established in 2011 by Stella Oeri and Margaret Theuri, two ladies with an extensive marketing background at large retailers.  Its mission is to trade in own-brand fast moving consumer and household products (mainly baby wipes, hygienic wet towels and associated personal grooming items).

This is achieved by contracting manufacturers in China to make these products.  Octagon’s brand is called Comfort and its range of products are sold through larger and smaller retailers throughout the country.

However, the long-term plan has been to shift manufacturing to Kenya. This is in line with the national policy to concentrate on building up a value-add manufacturing sector – rather than relying on imports for the majority of consumer goods. Over the next 2-3 years we expect Octagon to gradually move its procurement base to Kenya.
