Le projet

George Likam Magilu is een boer uit Enkasiti village en woont daar met zijn vrouw en 3 kinderen.

Voor de verlichting en het koken wordt kerosine gebruikt. Dat heeft nadelige effecten. Het plafond is zwartgeblakerd, er is voortdurend brandgevaar en de familie zit 's avonds in het donker. Op een enkele kaars na. Een TV is er niet en daarmee ook weinig afleiding.

Via lokale partner BNF komen het gezin en de dorpsgenoten echter in aanmerking voor een solar pakket: 5 lampen, een accu en een TV. Per maand betalen ze 40 dollar terug.

Met een lening krijgen 156 huishoudens toegang tot een solar pakket.
