“Elda Shells Trading” started its operation in year 1992. It is a combination of its owners’ name Elena Daño from Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. The business was officially registered in year 2000, and is engaged in manufacturing of different shell crafts. She started her business using her personal savings, and family members as workers. At first, they were a sub-contractor of Cebu exporters, but later on had a breakthrough in international market. Her 15 years in operation enable her to get regular buyers locally like Manila, Davao, Boracay, Aklan, and international buyers from Poland, Australia, Hongkong, and Ireland. 

Presently, she is employing eight workers, provided with fair salary. Elena also offers jobs for housewives, high school graduates and families living nearby for an additional income. 

Together with Lendahand and its local partner NPFC, Elena will acquire purchase order loan to sustain new orders from her buyers.
