Surprised we don’t wear suits? We are here to rethink the investment management landscape. In fact, we have found product/market fit and are now in the scale up phase — all without wearing a tie! Our objective is to go from €150mio in amount lent, to €1 billion in the next few years. We are active in the Netherlands, France, Belgium, and the UK. Other countries will follow shortly. We are ‘full-stack’ and do everything ourselves: from investments through ops to marketing and development. We use Ruby on Rails and deploy our stack to AWS.

What You Will Do:
An internship offers students, apprentices and starters on the labor market the opportunity to learn and gain experience in a working environment. Your activities at Lendahand are of an ancillary nature. The focus is on learning. Your learning goals will be discussed and set when you start the position. They can include:
- Finding synergies between existing and untapped data, to scope innovative products for the retail crowdfunding market, including a combination of low code and programming tools.
- Development and improvement of new and existing dashboards and reporting methods to showcase Lendahand’s objectives, improve our risk scoring or highlight insights.
- Market scoping and assessment of new third party tools to improve the speed of the investments and operations processes at Lendahand, to facilitate faster lending towards impactful businesses.
- Research on women-owned businesses in emerging markets. The research can involve scoping the market for potential investments, gathering relevant impact statistics, comparing the performance of a selection of companies with the market average, as well as preparing investment materials for a potential transaction, ideally in a data-savvy way.
What You Bring In:

- Relevant Experience: You know your way around data analytics and/or ML tools such as pandas, NumPy and Scikit-learn
- Solid Foundation: You are about to finish your BSC/MSc degree or finished it in the last 12 months

- Compensation: As a social enterprise in its scale-up phase, our salary levels are not yet where we want them to be. Until we catch up, we’re happy to offer you appr. 500€ monthly, incl. holiday pay.

- Travel Expenses: Not everybody gets to live in the beautiful city of Rotterdam, so if you don’t, we cover your commuting expenses.
