SECOND LOAN

“Feytenhowp Trading” is a garments company from Dasmariñas, Cavite operating for 15 years now. Feytenhowp means ‘Faith and Hope’. Faith and Hope are Sarahmirla’s daughters. Being a high school graduate and a single parent, Sarahmirla strives hard to give her family a good life. From her five long years of exposure and experience as sewer in a garment company, she put up her own in year 2000. She used to start making rags with one sewing machine. With a dream to expand her business, she eventually learned school and office uniforms.

Because of her perseverance, she was able to grow her business, and presently serving local and international clients, including different schools and branded clothings. She creates clothes for men, women, and kids. From her first loan, she used to have 52 sewing machines. Now, she has 85 units of various industrial sewing machines. 

And, she has also grown the present workers to 55 from the first 28 employees she has. Her workers are school drop-outs, housewives, senior citizens. Her 55 workers are divided into two, 30 of them receives piece rate salary, while, the other 25 are regular workers that are well-compensated. All of them are given free food, bonuses and Social Security System benefit. During peak season, she hires additional workers. Until today, Sarahmirla still continues to make rags as a way to help the community. 

NPFC and LendAHand will provide a working capital loan to Ms. Sarahmirla Gutierrez to expand her production area for her cutters and shirt printing.
