Tyrone Santos Almodovar is a graduate of Nautical – Seaman by profession. Before getting into business his last employment was at Magsaysay Shipping from 1997-2001. The first business he started was plastic hanger making in 1997 where the idea came from his father who works at a factory of plastic bottle for shampoo. Every year that he gets off the ship, Tyrone buys plastic injection machine for the business but eventually stop its operation and convert it into Casket accessories manufacturing in 2001. The business is named ‘Claro and Tyrone Plastic Product Company’ which is a father and son business, where his father acts as the supervisor and Mr. Tyrone in charge in over all operation. Business is located at Novaliches Quezon City where manufactured casket accessories are delivered in San Simon Pampanga. Employing 15 males and 20 females a total of 35 employees, he provides with complete SSS, PhilHealth and Pagibig, and minimum rate for regular employees. Tyrone gives gift every christmas season to all his employees. He targets to have an expansion and to employ more out of school youth. Together with Lendahand’s partner NPFC is helping Tyrone Almodovar in acquiring additional working capital for business expansion.
