Thessly Sweets and Delicacies a business located in Bulacan is owned by Maria Theresa Fernandez. Business is existing since 1985 now on its 29th year. Ms.Thess is a graduate of education with 2 year and a half of teaching experience. Sweets making is a family business and started as trader, but as a known company of cakes and pastries in the Philippines looks for a subcon that manufactures sweet candies, Thess then decided to make their own sweet products. Best products they offer are Pastillas and Macapuno currently supplying to ten companies regularly and also have once a month export transaction. The client employs a total of 19 workers, 7 are males and 12 are females a combination of out of school youth and housewives. They give their workers SSS and Philhealth, Rice subsidy, free meal, board and lodging. For their long time employees they give them a wedding assistance and merienda(snacks) for the birthday celebrants. Salary depends on the production. For around 2 years, Thessly Sweets is giving a hygiene kit and food every christmas for the home for the aged in their area. Thess and family wanted to increase their sales to further help more out of school youth by providing more jobs to them and have an expansion as the company grows. Together with Lendahand’s partner NPFC is helping Maria Theresa Fernandez in acquiring additional working capital business expansion.
