Mr. Roberto Duerme owns “Roel’s Furniture Shop” which he established in 1995.  The business is engaged in manufacturing of different furnitures like tables and chairs made from wood.  The wood he  uses is ‘a G. Melina Tree’ or also known as ‘Paper Tree’ which is abundant in the province of Isabela and is the tree which is approved by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to be processed as wood products.  In 2005, he extended his business by engaging to bidding process where his attachment and transaction with Department of Education (DepEd) began and is now considered as primary client which he had 14 successful transactions.

His loan proceed will be used for his new project with DepEd.  He will be manufacturing armchairs exclusively for the public school which will provide great impact for the poor children in the rural area of Isabela. Armchairs that will be given to these children can help them concentrate and become inspired to finish their studies.

Roberto has 10 regular workers provided with regular salary and free meals.  And, additional five during peak production.
