“Maexel Chi-Cha Bites and Food Products” process Cassava Chips, Peanuts, Biscuits, and is specializing in Chicharon making.  The company also promotes locally made product like, ‘Sukang Pakurat’ of Cebu and food with a twist like Bagoong (Anchovies) with Chicharon bits.  The business has five outlets strategically located in the provinces of Davao and Cebu, malls like SM in Fairview, Ali Mall, and Robinsons Galleria in Metro Manila and is actively participating in different trade fair exhibits held by Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and other event / exhibit organizers.

From the first loan with NPFC, Marie was able to hire additional workers.  From 26, she is now employing a total of 45 regular workers (a combination of out of school youths and senior citizens) and 20 non-regular or on-call workers.  They are provided with a weekly salary, free meal, and lodging.

“Maexel Chi-Cha Bites and Food Products” is owned by Marie Ann Mondelo.  Operating since 2006 from Cavite province.

Loan proceeds will be used to purchase raw materials in Chicharon making and materials for packaging purposes.  Ms. Mondelo will be assisted by NPFC and LAH.
