Wilson Tikwa of Impirikani village lives with his two wives and children in the same compound. He has been using a generator for lighting in his wife’s shop and the living room. This is very costly to him meaning he never stays late at night as the generator would cost him more in fuel.

He desires to adopt the solar energy home system. He believes this will improve the standard of his family’s economic life besides allowing him to spend more hours at night selling in the shop meaning improved sales. The savings from the fuel he would otherwise buy for generator will now go into other pressing homestead.
