El proyecto

Burton and Bamber Ltd (B&B) was established in 2015.  The company produces healthy snacks and products made of dried fruit – under the Sweetunda brand. These are created from locally sourced fruits, mainly mango, banana, pineapple, strawberries, and raspberries.  With no added sugar, Sweetunda is a 100% Kenyan healthy snack food for children and adults on the go.

B&B works with over 1100 farmers and is set to expand this number.  With 70% of mangos never reaching the market due to logistics-, quality- or timing issues, the problem of post-harvest losses is very large. By focusing on dried fruits, the company is making some very real and measurable impact in this area.
