The interest rate has been temporarily increased by 0,75 percentage point to accommodate the growing uncertainty associated with COVID-19.
In addition, this investee is allowed - provided they continue to comply with the applicable covenants - to refinance future repayments to Lendahand investors with the funds raised from this project.
Repayments occur after 12 months, 18 months and 24 months, not after 6 months (grace period).

Dickson Kilusu is resident of Narok County, Orkoroi Village with his family of five.

His home is dark just before the curfew and he spends daily USD 2 to purchase kerosene for lighting. Since schools are closed and children are required to study from home, Dickson has decided to purchase an affordable SHS that comprises four bulbs, 55 watts solar panel, 12Ah battery , a radio , a torch and a phone charger costing USD 368.75, repayable in 24 months.

Dickson will make up to USD60 from kerosene cost and an additional income USD3 per week from phone charging.

With abundant lighting, children can comfortably do their studies in the night. The radio is quite important for the family during this crisis.
