Resumen

Arnel Mulle Santillan, a 41 year old talented artist from Lilo-an Cebu, used to work as a designer artist for a local home décor company. After a few years of working and honing his skills in designing home décor items, he had the courage of establishing his own business by 2005 and named it ADORNO ’72 Home Décors.

He initially produced small pieces in his house, subcontracting work from another exporter. He also focused on producing stone cast and aluminum cast items made from mining dust and scrap aluminum. This was not only economical but it also has a positive environmental impact. He did the design and assembly by himself, while his wife helped with the administration.

ADORNO’72 nowadays employs 10 people, all neighbors of Arnel, doing the assembly for the company. They are housed at a 250sqm facility to better support production and warehousing. Because Arnel envisions a bigger company that has foreign market connections, they are now a regular in local Trade Fairs where they successfully promote their products and wherein they often rank as the Top Seller.

Lendahand’s partner NPFC is helping ADORNO’ 72 in acquiring additional raw materials to boost the production and support incoming orders by granting a P300,000 working capital loan payable in 18 months.
