Liliw is known to be the shoe capital of Laguna that most of the residence here are into shoe manufacturing. When Mary Joyce Montalbo married Mark she becomes a shoe manufacturer too. The business was named as Monarj Footwear that started in 2006 as a manufacturer and supplier of different slippers in stores at Liliw, but later on, she had her own outlet. Mary Joyce in 2012 started to manufacture shoes to have an additional product for her store. She is now employing three male and three female workers that receives free meals and accommodation aside from salary they received.
