Le projet
JMC Buko Stand started its operations in 1996. It is a family owned business which started from a small stall in front of their house. The first product sold were coconut fruits and juices but through experimentation they took the risk by having a stall in a Mall, adding sweet delicacies, like native rice cakes and leche flan where they saw the positive market response.
To date they are now operating 20 stalls located in different areas in Manila, two were recently opened in Universities. The business assures to offer the best and fresh coconut made foods and drinks for their customers daily. Jhoanna and her family dreams to have more branches in the near future, to be well-known with their products and to provide the best service to all their customers. 20 among 70 workers are out-of-school youth that came from the provinces of Bicol and Ilo-Ilo which she provides with meal, accommodation, Social Security System (SSS) and monthly compensation.
Loan proceed will be used to purchase stocks for the upcoming Christmas holiday. This will be provided by Lendahand and local partner NPFC. To be repaid in 12 months.
