Le projet
Jhoanna Marie C. Pangan runs JMC Fresh Buko Stand and Trading - a family business selling buko (coconut) juice and local delicacies from 20 branches in different areas in Metro Manila. Coming from humble beginnings of selling pure coconut juice in front of their house, her family then put up a juice stall in a mall in Caloocan City in 2009. They have been expanding their locations and product line ever since – even making their very own special buko pie. To promote a healthy lifestyle, their products are all natural with no preservatives added.
Jhoanna currently employs 70 workers, 20 of whom are out-of-school youth. The workers come from poor families from the provinces of Bicol and Iloilo and are provided with free meals and lodging.
The holiday season is a busy time of year for JMC Fresh Buko Stand and Trading. They will need a working capital loan to purchase additional stocks for the upcoming months. The loan will be provided by NPFC and LendAHand.
