Stephene Ochola is a resident of Aloma beach village situated in Migori county, located in Western. He has seven children and lives with his wife who does not have an income. He uses a generator as his main source of energy for his family.

Over the years the price of fuel has gone up significantly. This of course makes it very costly for the family besides catering for the schooling of the children. All the children depend on the generator to do their homework daily at night.

The solar home system is definitely a great solution. This will improve the family economic life the savings from the fuel can now go to other needs as well as this will aid the children school performance which spells of a better future. This story is replicated throughout this county.
