Le projet

Sharon of lives in Oloyiankalani village. She cares for her mum and her six children. Two of the kids are in secondary school and four kids in primary. She has used a tin lamp growing up and now with her own family as the only source of lighting. The evidence of the dangers of using such a lighting source is that her eldest son who is in high school has been affected and now struggles with eye problems.

By shifting the lighting source to solar home system she will save the money she has been spending on her son’s treatment. The lighting outside the home will also help to scare away wild animals from attacking the crops from the farm eventually increasing the crop yield translating to food security and maybe sell some to the neighbours.

Solar home systems reduce reliance on polluting and health-threatening fuels such as kerosene, firewood, and coal for families' lighting and cooking needs.
