Le projet

Typical to rural life of many households in Kenya, Kerosene is used as an important fuel despite its associated pollutant emissions and hazards. Charles Nzau uses kerosene for lighting in his home. Upon retirement, he has invested his benefits in poultry farming that is envisaged to be his sole source of livelihood. One critical success factor in this venture is lighting to keep the chicks warm as well as scare rodents and predators.

Through this fundraising, Mr Nzau will be able to access a wide array of solar products available in the market. This shall revolutionalize not only Mr. Nzau’s life but his family’s and the entire community. Critical for him is lighting for his chicken business. This could bring in income of about USD 30 per week from sale of eggs. In addition, his home compound will be well lit to enjoy unlimited TV entertainment.
