Le projet

Johan heeft samen met zijn vrouw Maria een paar hectare grond waarop hij tomaten verbouwt. Om zijn land te irrigeren, gebruikt hij een oude pomp die loopt op benzine. Aan brandstofkosten alleen al is hij 20 dollar per week kwijt. Een flinke hap uit zijn inkomen.

Met een lening kunnen Johan en 67 andere boeren worden voorzien van een waterpomp die op zonnepanelen draait.

De lening wordt verstrekt door lokale partner BNF.

Solar home systems reduce reliance on polluting and health-threatening fuels such as kerosene, firewood, and coal for families' lighting and cooking needs.
