Christopher Recio owns a business that sells traditional sweet dishes like taho and puto. Taho is a fresh soft tofu desert with syrup and puto are small steamed rice cakes in different colours and shapes that can be eaten as snack or with a meal. Christopher’s parents had been in the business of making and selling taho and puto for over 30 years and seeing children enjoying the sumptuous puto and sweet taho inspired Christopher to follow into the steps of his parents.

Christopher cares a lot about his workers. For instance he provides them with free shelter, which is of great help especially for those who come from the provinces. He feels that his care for other people has brought him the luck that allowed him to grow his business. NPFC has pre-funded his loan request as this allowed him to immediately extend his production by purchasing raw materials in bulk quantities.
