THIRD LOAN

Raquel Sagala, is a native of Malolos, Bulacan, married to Mauro, also known as Mark. In 1999, she started a small business. It was the time when she was pregnant and thought of making something that she really likes. Being a sweet lover, she decided to make yema, which was first sold in nearby schools and later on to ‘sari-sari’ stores. The continuous growth of her product allow her to supply regularly in different markets and in resorts every summer in Bulacan, Philippines. 

“Mark and Raquel’s Yema” employs eight workers. Provided with piece rate salary and a Philhealth benefit. Both spouses supports feeding program in public schools, focusing to malnourished kids. She also offers subsidy to students that works for her as part-time.

Lendahand, and its local partner NPFC, will help Raquel Sagala again to acquire working capital to purchase additional raw materials to boost its yema production. And to employ additional of four workers.
