Mao Soksan, 36, is married and resides with her husband and two school-aged children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She and her husband have been growing rice and lotus to sell for over ten years and are successful in their careers. Additionally, her husband also works as construction worker when he has free time from farming. In order to improve her family living conditions,

Soksan is requesting a loan purchase a plot of farmland to grow more rice and also buy fertilizer, gas, and insecticide for the next growing season to generate more output.

Phillip Bank is a microfinance institution in Cambodia that invests in people and their businesses via Micro-loans. By providing working capital to local entrepreneurs, they enable people in Cambodia to further expand their businesses and reach their potential for business growth and job creation.
